GROUP MANIFESTO

The Art of the
Essential

There is a particular kind of excellence in making something ordinary, extraordinary. Not in the luxury of the rare — but in the perfection of the everyday. The exercise book that opens a child's mind. The pad that lets a woman move through her world with confidence. The wipe gentle enough for a newborn. The supplement that keeps a family well. These are not small things. These are the things that shape a life. Kinetic Holdings builds brands worthy of that weight.

Transpaper

THE FLAGSHIP  BUSINESS

Transpaper

"The paper that carries every idea."

Connecting East Africa's printers, publishers
and businesses to the world's finest substrates.

The Story Behind the Business

Joseph used to turn away the best jobs.

Joseph has run a print shop in Nairobi's Industrial Area for eleven years. Two Heidelberg offset machines, a team of seven, and a reputation for getting things done on time. He is good at this. He has always been good at this.

But for the first nine years, there were jobs he couldn't take. A publisher wanted 10,000 textbook covers on 350gsm silk-coated board. A packaging client needed uncoated woodfree for a premium food brand. A corporate wanted digitally printed brochures on a specific coated stock — the kind with a weight and finish that signals quality before a word is read. Joseph knew exactly what was needed. He simply couldn't get it.

The right substrates either didn't arrive in the country, or arrived in quantities too large for a single printer to absorb, or came through traders who couldn't guarantee consistency from one batch to the next. So Joseph declined the jobs. He watched them go to shops in Johannesburg. To suppliers in Dubai. To printers who had access to something he didn't.

Then Transpaper arrived. Not with a sales pitch — with a portfolio. Printing papers. Packaging boards. Digital substrates. Coated and uncoated. Light and heavy. Consistent, available, and distributed through a dealer network that put them within reach of a print shop in Industrial Area, not just a multinational procurement desk. Joseph took his first premium packaging job within six weeks of his first Transpaper delivery.

He has not turned away a substrate job since.

"The right paper doesn't just carry the print. It carries the reputation of everyone whose name is on the job."

The Transpaper Promise

Joseph walks the floor before the machines start. He runs a hand across the top ream of a new delivery — 150gsm coated gloss, smooth and cold and precise. He knows what this paper is worth. He knows what it will become: a catalogue for a furniture company, 5,000 copies, due Thursday. He nods once. Calls his pressman. They begin.

Stationery & Education

"The book every student opens."

The brand every school trusts.

The Story Behind the Brand

Grace buys one exercise book at a time.

Her name is Grace. She is eleven years old and lives forty minutes outside Kisumu. Her mother sells tomatoes at the roadside market three days a week. Her father drives a boda boda. Between them, they earn enough to keep the family fed and the rent paid — barely.

When school term begins, Grace's mother walks to the nearest duka and buys one exercise book. Not five. Not the full set the school requires. One. Because one is what she can afford this week. She will buy the next one when she can.

The book she buys is Classic. Not because she has compared brands or read reviews. Because it is there, it is trusted, and every page holds together until the last lesson of the term. The ink doesn't bleed through. The cover doesn't fall apart in the rain. For Grace's mother, that reliability is not a small thing. It is everything.

Grace fills that book carefully — both sides of every page — because she knows what it cost. And in the margin of the last page, in the handwriting of a child who is paying attention, she writes her name. Because this book belongs to her. And so does the future inside it.

"When a child fills the last page of a Classic book, they are not finishing a notebook. They are finishing a chapter of their own story."
